Akashi has launched a live stream from the construction site of its data center in Astana on its website. The progress of the build can now be followed in real time — something new appears on site every day.

Why it matters

From the outside, large infrastructure projects often look like one long promise. A company talks about capacity, certifications, clients and future phases, shows renders — and an observer struggles to connect all of that to an actual facility. Yet inside the project, work is intense every day: contracts are closed, questions with subcontractors are resolved, technical decisions are debated, the rhythm of construction goes on. It’s just not always visible from the outside.

“What matters to me is the moment a project becomes visible — not in a presentation, not in a render, not in a spreadsheet, but on site, when equipment, structures, people and the rhythm of the build appear,” says Vladislav Minkevich, CEO of Akashi Data Center.

Transparency as the norm

The live stream is a way to show what is actually happening. Not a one-off gesture, but a normal format of openness for the clients, investors and partners following the project. The idea gradually begins to live a life of its own — and now it can be seen with one’s own eyes.

How to watch

The live stream is available on the Akashi construction progress page. Akashi Data Center is being built to the Tier IV class and will become the first certified facility of this level in Central Asia — with a design capacity of up to 100 MW.
