Cookie Policy

Which cookies the site uses, why, and how to control them.

Last updated: 2026-05-12. Draft pending review by qualified counsel before final publication.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are used to make sites work, remember preferences, and measure usage. This policy explains which cookies akashi.cloud uses, who provides them, and how to control them.

Categories we use

1. Necessary (always on)

Required for the site to function — for example, to remember your cookie choice and your language. These do not track you across sites and do not require consent under GDPR or Kazakhstan's Law No. 94-V on Personal Data and Protection.

  • akashi_consent_v1 (localStorage) — stores your consent choice. Retention: until you clear it or 12 months.

2. Analytics (off by default)

Used only after you accept. We load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MMKGZ8HH), which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. These help us understand which pages are visited, where traffic comes from, and which content works. IP addresses are anonymized inside the tag configuration.

  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4. Provider: Google LLC. Retention: up to 24 months.
  • _gid — Google Analytics (where present). Retention: 24 hours.

Google Consent Mode v2

Before you make a choice, we set analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization to denied. Google's tags then operate in a privacy-preserving mode that collects no identifying data until consent is granted. Accepting analytics updates analytics_storage to granted.

Your choices

  • Change your settings any time — click "Cookie settings" in the footer.
  • Block all cookies in your browser settings — note this may break parts of the site.
  • Use Google's opt-out add-on for GA4 at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Third-party processors

  • Google LLC (US) — GTM + GA4. Transfer safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes

If we add new tracking, we will update this list and request fresh consent. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest change.
